What Talkio processes

Talkio may process:

• Audio recorded from your microphone when you choose to use the app.
• Transcript text and text-processing results generated from your recordings.
• App settings and preferences stored on your device.
• Limited product and performance data, such as app version, macOS version, selected models, and feature usage events.
• Network requests needed to check for app updates, download models, and load product configuration.

How Talkio uses data

Talkio uses data to:

• provide transcription and text assistance features;
• remember your settings and selected models;
• improve app stability, performance, and product quality;
• deliver updates and downloadable models.

Local processing

Talkio processes audio recordings, transcripts, and text-processing results locally on your device. Talkio does not send your audio content or text content to Talkio servers.

The only exception is when you voluntarily choose to share content with us, for example as part of a support or feedback request.

Analytics and third-party services

Talkio may use third-party services to support analytics, software updates, and model delivery. These services may receive limited technical information such as device type, app version, operating system version, selected models, and usage events. They do not receive your audio recordings, transcripts, or text-processing results unless you voluntarily share that information with us.

Permissions

Talkio may request access to:

• your microphone, to record audio for transcription;
• Accessibility or Input Monitoring features on macOS, to support global shortcuts and text insertion into other apps.

These permissions are used only to provide app features you enable.

Data storage

Settings, downloaded models, and other local app data may be stored on your device. Retention of analytics or operational logs depends on the systems used to run and improve the service.

Your choices

You can stop using Talkio at any time. You can also remove the app, revoke macOS permissions, and delete local app data from your device.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version with a new effective date.
